Hello everyone! I’m a partner of EN101 - Team LeaderEn101. I enjoy learning languages in a fast, fun and easy way! My learning experience is not only enjoyable, but affordable too. But, first of all, let me introduce myself: My name is Galina Terakado. I was born in Moldova, Basarabeasca. My primary education was completed in my home town Abaclia, and my undergraduate study was completed in Chishinau at the University of European Political and Economic Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences where I got my specialization in Political Science and Jurisprudence. After having worked for a few years in many non profitable organizations and at International Airport of Moldova I’m able to affirm that speaking foreign languages gives you a better status.
But hat’s not the only reason why I learn other languages. For me foreign languages are very useful in several areas; for instance, tourism, job, cultural exchange, and intercultural marriage. Why did I mention intercultural marriage? Well here’s were I’ll tell you something about the most precious person in my life! It is my spouse – Hidetoshi Terakado. He is Japanese. We met each other in 2002 and in 2009 we’ve got married in one of the New York City Halls. Those are the most memorable moments of my life! There are many of them, but the happiest moment is the union of love.
When an intercultural couple is just dating, most often they speak poor English and use the body language. It works well for a while, but as relationship becomes more serious, one of the partners may begin to feel that he or she cannot fully express themselves to their partner. Not only does this cause some strain, it is also the source of numerous misunderstandings every day.
Now, both of us have possibility to keep on working on our communication skills. Thanks to EN101 we are improving the level of English and Japanese. It makes a big difference in our family, and brings changes to the people around us. It makes us feel more connected with each other, and I believe our relationship has big chance of blossoming.
